Don't they say something like the way is the goal? I have to believe in this, because today I walked 28km from Innsbruck to Madrei, what would actually be just 20km. To my mistake I followed some signs saying "Pilgerweg" which didn't lead me straight to the Brenner pass, where I was heading to, but further to the west. I had to climb up to 1600m just to find the closed church of Maria Waldrast there and then go down again into the valley. However it was a nice path away from the cars. I didn't make it to the supermarked before it was closed. Somebody saw it and helped me out with some food. I spent the night in a field of corn.
